About Us
Mike Bickerdike started MKB in 1968, starting in garden maintenance and progressing to landscape gardening. He expanded this side of the business when joined by his son John in 1984. Mike is semi-retired and the business is now in the capable hands of John Bickerdike.
John gained his City & Guilds in horticulture at Huddersfield Technical College, progressing to Merrist Wood Agricultural & Horticultural College, Guildford to successfully gain qualifications in landscape construction. This was followed by a garden design diploma course at Askam Bryan College, York.

MKB remained a small, compact family concern and we pride ourselves on a personal 'hands-on' service. Over the years, we have gained experience in many areas of landscape and garden management and are equally at home with large or small projects in the domestic market - we are very happy to design and build your garden.
From our galleries, you will see the diversity of our experience. Working in the Pennine area, we are experienced at working on sloping sites and creating natural rockeries, streams, ponds, bridges and recently flood damage. Our garden maintenance services are second to none, specialising in sprucing up neglected and untidy gardens.
Just about any construction work in your garden or estate, even poultry pens, can be achieved.
